I was born in Montclair, NJ, a suburb of New York City. At the age of 6 I moved to New Hampshire where I lived until the age of 12. At the age of 12 my family moved to Douglasville and that has been my home ever since. I graduated from Lithia Springs High School and went off to Georgia Tech with the intent of becoming an electrical engineer. After 2 years I transferred to Lagrange College and changed my major to mathematics. In 1989 I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lagrange College with a B.A. in Mathematics and minors in Psychology and Secondary Education. I began my teaching career in 1995 at Water of Life Christian Academy and in 1998 was part of the group of teachers that helped start Heirway Christian Academy. I am a member of Douglasville First United Methodist Church where I enjoy singing in the choir and I spent over 20 years working with their youth group. My hobbies include reading, singing, and coaching volleyball. I consider it a blessing to come to work every day at Heirway and having the opportunity to speak life into the lives of all of the students.
