My name is Judyth McClendon-Redmond, better known as “Mrs. Judy”. I am blessed and super-excited to be the 3rd grade teacher at Heirway Christian Academy. I moved to Georgia in 2011, after living in Copenhagen Denmark for 3 years. Before moving to Copenhagen, I lived in Raleigh, North Carolina for 4 years. Prior to moving to Raleigh, I lived in Orlando, which is my home; I am a native Floridian. As noted, I have lived and traveled around the United States as well as in Europe. I love traveling as much as I love the people I meet in the different locations. I am a retired management employee where my professional career was an Internal Auditor for Corporate Accounting(Finance) with AT&T. I love serving, teaching and looking out for others, whether they are in the building, outside the building or on the phone. My mission in life is to serve others and to utilize my gifts and talents to help others be the best they can be. I have a passion for people, All people, and I make it a point to display that no matter where I am. I am intentional about being a Spiritual Parent and my joy and pleasure is to light someone else’s candle so that they can shine. While living in Copenhagen, Denmark (traveling on assignment with my husband), I was also a Bible School teacher at the ICC (International Christian Community) where I taught the Bible to 12 different nationalities. I also helped to establish the very first Christian Education class at the ICC. I wrote and created the handbook/workbook for the class, and it is still being taught from and used to this day (ages 10-18). I remain friends and stay in contact with friends in Denmark, the UK, Africa, Holland, Switzerland, Japan and in Singapore. My educational background includes an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) a MOD (Masters of Organizational Development) – Webster University. A BFS (Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Studies) - Barry University and an Associate’s Degree in Social Sciences and I am currently enrolled at Regent University where I am pursuing a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership (minor in Education). I hold numerous certifications in computer Technology and training (Microsoft Office / Oracle computer systems). I am also have a Certificate in Event Planning and Management. I am a certified Etiquette coach and has taught and facilitated several classes on etiquette and self –esteem as well self-help and life skills. I am a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and I am a member of the WATTS Atlanta (Women Aspiring Together ToSucceed) and the Atlanta Business League Association. Myother activities include both past and current, Awana Club Director, Women of Worth Ministry Leader, Youth Counselor,Youth /Greenhouse Teacher, Decision Counselor (Elizabeth Baptist Church), member of Douglas County Connection, member of Voices of Praise Choir and the Deaconess Ministry (Elizabeth Baptist Church). Judy serves actively and diligently at Elizabeth Baptist Church-Douglasville Campus. I am married to Donahue Redmond and together we have a blended family of 3 boys and 2 girls all adults that we love very much. We have 9 grandchildren, that bring so much joy into our lives. I am also the Founder and Executive Director of the Non-Profit “Rare Pearls Mentoring and Leadership Program, Inc., for girls ages 7-18. The organization currently has 4 chapters including the Douglasville Chapter and more are coming. I would like to be known for my life of service to God and to others. With all I have and have done, my love for God, for His people, for His Word and for His Plans matter most in this life to me. I love minding God’s business!
