I consider it a blessing to be part of the Heirway family where I teach Middle School and High School classes. I was born and grew up in the Dominican Republic where my parents were missionaries. After graduating from Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, with a BS in Education, I taught for eight years in the public school system, homeschooled my sons for several years and have taught in Christian schools for over 20 years. My husband, Richard, and I live in Winston with our two cats. We have two sons and two grandchildren. We attend First Presbyterian Church in Villa Rica. A quote that defines me is: “When I get a little money, I buy books, and if any is left, I buy food and clothes.” (Erasmus). I love books and reading and my favorite genres are historical fiction and mysteries. I am excited about the opportunity to serve the families of Heirway in supporting them as they raise their children to love God with all their hearts and minds.
