Melissa Froelke
My name is Melissa Froelke. I’m excited to join the Heirway Christian Academy faculty this year as the Music and Band instructor. I have over eighteen years of experience in Music and Christian Education. I am an Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) certified educator in the field of Music (K-12), and my background includes teaching a variety of academic and fine arts courses. I hold a Master of Science degree in Education from Walden University (2015), as well as a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!) Throughout my tenure as a music educator, I have worked with students ranging from grades K3-12, in both general music and band. Additionally, several of my band students each year are selected for membership in the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) District Honor Band, with some scoring high enough to participate in the GMEA All-State Band auditions. I am married to Brent and have three children, two of whom attend Heirway Christian Academy. When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, hiking, spending time with my family.
