Rodney Lewis, Athletic Director
My name is Rodney Lewis, and I am excited to re-join the staff at Heirway Christian Academy for my second year. I attended Saint Joseph’s College (Rensselaer, IN) on athletic scholarship and received a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration degree. I was a four-time starter at wide receiver, two-time offensive team MVP and two-time All Conference player.
Prior to establishing and leading Lewis Sports Academy (LSA) the past 11 years, I coached at North Cobb Christian where I quickly established myself as one of the top prep coaches in the state. I was responsible for player development, game preparation and scouting. I was a part of a staff that led NCCS to back-to-back AAA State Championships in 2007 and 2008. Following (5) years at North Cobb Christian, I was offered an opportunity to join powerhouse Westlake High School as the Associated Boys Head Coach. My role as Assistant Coach during 2011-12 propelled our varsity team to finish the season 26-4 and make it to the Elite 8 in (5A) GA high school basketball. While I bring years of experience coaching elementary, middle & high school student-athletes, my most rewarding accomplishments to date have been working with and supporting the dreams of young people as a Community Mentor. It is my honor to continue serving the students at Heirway Christian Academy as the new Athletic & Facility Director as well as uplift and strengthen the basketball program. My wife Tracy and I have (4) children, Romeo, Royale, Rodney Jr and Rayne. |
