Mr. Timothy James Thomas is the Head of School at Heirway Christian Academy. Mr. Thomas was born in Garrett County, Maryland and lived there through his college years. He attended Frostburg State University, a teacher’s college in the University of Maryland System. Mr. Thomas received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and continued at the same university for 18 additional graduate credits. Mr. Thomas moved to Douglasville, Georgia in 1998 after hearing the vision for Heirway Christian Academy. Mr. Thomas accepted a full-time teaching position for the fourth grade. He taught at several different levels for the next seven years. During his eighth year at Heirway, he accepted the position of Assistant Principal while maintaining the position for fourth grade. Mr. Thomas is now the Head of School at Heirway Christian Academy. He has a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Instruction through Central Michigan University. He and his wife Beth were married in 2005 and have two children, Presleigh and Tate.
